Danger (0–14 days): Never sell options over an earnings date. IV spikes look tempting — the gap after earnings does not.
Warning (15–21 days): Proceed with caution. Shorter DTE only. Options expiring before earnings are acceptable.
Clear (22+ days): Safe to run the full Wheel or swing trade strategy.
